Learn about the healing power of the plants and trees in our Medicinal Aromatherapy Workshop in Sedona ArizonaGet to know many of what we believe are to be some of aromatherapy's misunderstood essential oils (and some widely used oils too).  Learn the chemistry and the safety guidelines. The medicinal, therapeutic and energetic benefits and applications of 20 essential oils will be discussed extensively and demonstrated.  Some of the oils studied are: Mugwort, Thuja, Star Anise, Blue Tansy, and Wild Tansy to name a few.

An essential oil contains many chemical components which makes the oil of aromatic therapeutic value.  Know the chemstry and you will know the oil.  Essential oils work in many ways but the key to the therapeutic value and safety of an essential oil is held in the chemistry of an essential oil.
Many essential oils can be used safely, when used with knowledge, in a controlled way and in the correct circumstances.

Know the Chemistry…Know the Oil!

In this Weekend Workshop, you will experience and learn:

  • The Science behind the different chemical families contained with essential oils
  • The chemistry and application of many essential oils that are not used widely in aromatherapy as well as many commonly used essential oils.
  • The safety issues and contraindications of the essential oils studied
  • The chemical components are not suitable for use in aromatherapy
  • How to safely use the uncommon essential oils in various blends and methods

Learn about the healing power of the plants and trees in our Medicinal Aromatherapy Workshop in Sedona ArizonaStillpoint Aromatic's aromatherapy workshops are comprehensive and experiential workshops that teach how essential oils are used to maintain physical and energetic health, treat chronic and acute pain, and reduce stress. Participants gain a deeper understanding of Aromatherapy and become proficient in various uses and applications of pure essential oils. These weekend workshops are hands on where students will create and take home over $200 worth of customized aromatherapy products.

Who would benefit by taking this Aromatherapy Course? Absolutely Everyone!

It is our belief and knowing that all conditions (physical, mental, spiritual, or emotional) can be addressed and helped by the proper and safe use of pure therapeutic grade essential oils. Essential oils also known as nature’s living energy, are the natural, aromatic volatile liquids found in shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, bushes, and seeds. Essential oils are extracted from aromatic plant sources via steam distillation, and are highly concentrated and far more potent than dry herbs. While essential oils often have a pleasant aroma, their chemical makeup is complex and their benefits vast—which makes them much more than something that simply smells good.

Students will receive:

  • A custom manual
  • Discounts at Stillpoint Aromatics
  • A comprehensive resource aromatherapy data base
  • Directory of journals and connection in the world of aromatherapy
