What length session do you recommend?
We believe that a comprehensive therapeutic massage means that the full body is addressed, thus we need to allow the time for this, so we recommend our 70 minute or longer sessions. We offer a 60 minute massage for those who can not be on the table for longer. The most popular sessions are 70 or 90 minutes.
What is the most comprehensive session you offer?
Our most comprehensive session is our Ultimate Stillpoint…Living in Balance Session, our three hour session which incorporates the most requested and important elements that we believe help the body, mind and spirit balance on all levels. This offering can be found under the packages and specials tab.
What is the difference between the Stillpoint session and the Living in Balance session?
Our Stillpoint session includes a complete chakra and auric field balancing seamlessly woven into our full body therapeutic massage. We use crystals, essential oils and hot placement stones. The Living in Balance session does not include the chakra balancing, but does include detailed lymphatic and cranial work, which some people experience as energetic… as well as hot stones used for massage for the shoulders, neck and back.
What is the difference between Cranial Sacral therapy (CST) and Lymphatic Drainage (LDT)?
Cranial and lymphatic work are both light touch pressure work that is unlike traditional massage and deep tissue work. Both work on facilitating the fluid systems within the body (cerebral spinal fluid and lymphatic fluid systems) to rebalance. CST helps clear the sacrum and the bones of the cranium of any restrictions. LDT helps clear the lymphatic system of any lymphatic blockages throughout the entire body including the organs.
What is the difference between Raindrop therapy and The Stillpoint aromassages?
Raindrop therapy is a specific protocol that utilizes a series of essential oils applied along the spine. Our aromassages are customized to your specific needs, addressing whatever issues you might want to address …physically, emotionally or spiritually. We choose from over 200 pure medicinal essential oils for our aromassages.
Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my session?
There is nothing special that we feel you need to do to prepare for your session. We want you to be comfortable at all times, so there is no need to avoid eating before your session. We want you to do whatever you feel you need to do to prepare for your session.
What can I expect during the massage or bodywork session?
The following are normal responses to relaxation and may occur during massage. Trust your body to express what it needs to.
The need to change position
Change in breathing or sighing or yawning
Stomach gurgling and possibly movement of intestinal gas
Emotional feelings and/or expression
Energy shifts, falling asleep and memories
Is there anything I need to know after my session?
After your session, it is always advisable to drink as much water as you can to help flush any toxins that may need to be eliminated.
If you experienced a session with essential oils a soak in a hot tub or bath tub is beneficial because it will allow the essential oils to penetrate to an even deeper level physically and emotionally.
Should I cancel my session if I am starting to feel like I’m coming down with a cold/flu?
That is really your call. We feel that massage can help strengthen the immune system so that if you are getting a cold it may be prevented and if you have a cold, it will move through faster. There are fabulous essential oils that can be used during the session specifically for colds, flu, and sinus issues. Lymphatic drainage is an effective therapy for immune boosting as well.
Is the energy work we do Reiki?
No, it is not Reiki. We are both trained and certified in Reiki, but our energy work is based on our 7 years formal Clairvoyant/Energy/Mystery school training. We have been trained to do “psychic surgery” as well. Our energy work is a deeper more profound type of energy work.
Is it possible to have an energy session “long distance”?
Absolutely! Energetic work can be done in person or over the phone...long distance. Just as you do not have to be in the same room with someone to be affected by their thoughts, intentions, and energy, we do not need to be in the same room for a chakra balancing/clearing or flower reading! We like to think of long distance readings and clearings as energetic WI- FI (energetic wireless capability) When doing a long distance healing or reading we connect (tune in) with your etheric body which includes your aura and chakras.

How is the way you use essential oils different from most massage or aromatherapists?
We use the essential essences (oils ) as plant based medicine. We do not blend them and do not dilute them. Instead we use the oils “neat” on the skin and layer them. We have over 200 pure essences to choose from to assist you.
How are the essential oils you use and sell different from others on the market?
Our essential oils at Stillpoint Aromatics are of the highest vibration and purest quality. They are 100% pure therapeutic (medicinal) quality essential oils. We have spent the past year searching for and corresponding with farmers and distillers around the world that we wanted to form lasting and close relationships with. We believe that knowing the farmer/distiller/producer is the absolutely best way to make sure that the oils are pure and of the highest quality! NOT adulterated or rectified.
We also have GC/MS (gas chromatography/ mass spectrometry) reports for our essential oils. GC/MS technology is a way to assure the purity of the oils and gives us the exact chemistry of the oil. It is the fingerprint of that particular oil.
Our essential oils, at Stillpoint Aromatics are truly genuine and authentic… This means that nothing has been added nor taken out. No other substances natural or unnatural have been added, the oil is truly and exclusively from the plant that it claims to be... It is the life force of that particular plant.
Our oils are stored in cold storage at about 60 - 65 degrees. Research has shown that this type of storage keeps the oils fresher and slows down the oxidation process especially for oils that are high in monoterpenes, like the citruses. In this way the oils can retain their "maximum therapeutic benefits” for a longer period of time. You can be assured that you are receiving the freshest oils possible from us.
How do I know what oils are right for me?
If you do not know what oils you need or want, we encourage you to have an aromatherapy consultation. If you are in Sedona, we can do the consultation in person…Otherwise we do the consultation via phone or e mail (as many of our international customers prefer).
How can I purchase the essential oils?
If you are in town, you may place an order and pick up your oils at Stillpoint…Living in Balance.
Otherwise you may:
What oils do you use and sell?
What is Oxygen?
Oxygen is a colorless, tasteless, non-combustible gas. It is the most important element on earth. The atmosphere comprises 21% oxygen, 78% nitrogen and 1% traces of other gases, at sea level, and in some locations, the oxygen level is as low as 9%.
Is this medical oxygen?
No. This is recreational oxygen – less than 100%. Medical oxygen is 100% pure oxygen; you must have a license to dispense it and a prescription to receive it.
Can I purchase a machine for home use?
Yes, we do sell the oxygen machines. They are portable and require little maintenance. Please call if you are interested in purchasing one… (928) 301-0830… You may also order from the products page on our website.
Why do I need Oxygen?
We all need oxygen to convert fuel - the carbohydrates, fats, and proteins that we eat are converted into energy to fuel the body. The conversion of body fuels is similar to the process of combustion; fuel and oxygen are consumed, while heat and energy are generated. This is called 'metabolism'. Furthermore, our bodies are only getting HALF of the oxygen they were designed to absorb. Your body cannot live for more than 3 minutes without oxygen.
Is extra oxygen safe for everyone to use?
Generally yes, however Oxygen Therapy is intended for use only by healthy individuals. If you have a medical condition or are pregnant we recommend you consult your doctor before use.
How does the extra oxygen work?
In 2 ways:
- Oxygen saturation level in the blood is increased from 97% to 99%. (Dr Andrew Scholey, 2001, Director Human Cognitive Performance Unit,University of Northumbria)
- Partial pressure of oxygen in the blood is increased which drives more oxygen into the muscle tissues. (Professor Daniel Sessler, University of California, 2000)
What is the optimal length of an oxygen therapy session?
We recommend a limit of 3 x 30minute sessions in a 24 hour period. Using more will not gain you extra benefits. Do not use continuous hours of extra oxygen.
What benefits will I notice and how long will they last?
Initially you will be aware of a refreshing feeling of cool filtered extra oxygen flow, leading to a feeling of clear headedness. The extra oxygen should also give you a natural boost, and revitalize your body and mind. The effects will last during your session and afterwards, for a period of a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the length of time of your session and depending on you as an individual. Please see the Oxygen and detox page of our website for a comprehensive list of benefits.
Focus Detox Footbath FAQS
Do the various colors in the footbath water have significant meaning as to certain organ systems?
It has been stated by various companies that the water colors relate to different organ cellular waste and other body parts. Focus Energetics does not support this analysis of water. There is no scientific data supporting this analysis. Not all impurities can be seen with the naked eye just as you cannot see the impurities in water.
What’s in the water?
At first, we use regular hot tap water and add 1/4 teaspoon of Himalayan salt crystals. After the footbath, there is a combination of high grade plant food (waste) and fatty deposits that have been released by the cells into the lymphatic system then drawn through the tissue into the bath.
How long are the treatments?
One footbath session lasts a maximum of 35 minutes. A Cycle consists of 14 footbaths, suggested 3 times per week; wait 21 days and begin again. These cycles can continue for years to assist your body in releasing toxins.
